Just love a good debate. Definately polished on a dark car, or a red car, or maybe a white car. Sounds like a political debate now.

Right you are, Jim. Still, with all the chrome from that period, I think polished like yours/mine on that silver 911 would look FANTASTIC! Just my humble o.
:) |
Hate the polished look on anything except an early long hood car myself. The black centers with the anodized lip is THE 80's 911 wheel. It is one of the only OEM wheels ever that actually "works" with a black center.
But, that is why they make other flavors of ice cream... |

Fun thread - Why not start a poll?

I hope that everyone appreciates that this is just good fun...our car's beauty is in the eye of the beholder (as long as the wheels aren't gleaming at us!).

Rick,
Your wheels are nice...not highly polished like chrome. |
Centerlines? Anyone? Or how about some torque thrust IIs?
Spinners? Or maybe some of those "Anti-spinners"? edit: I hope you know I'm only kidding. |

Yo, Bighead Jeremy,
Ya gotta also grok the ultracool "Screamin' chicken" graphics limited edition dee-cal (no more than 250,000 copies will be produced, no matter WHAT the demand!) - I can tell! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1173760183.jpg"Screamin' chicken" |

Because we are all raccoons. We go gaga over shiny things. This can cover all manner of sins. From polished petals on Fuchs to more involved sins like owning a Boxster! Just re-read this post for fun. I like the knock on Boxsters...I've been a 911 guy all my life. My Boxster S will kick most 911s butt; just ask Pete Stout at Excellence. And you don't see polished wheels on any Boxsters, do you? JM |
