Are They All Red

I have a hankering for a '83 SC Cab, I've seen a few good ones, today I saw advertised what could be a really good one not too far away. Seems like Guards Red is the only color I see. I'm not that fond of red but even less fond of painting over good paint. There, I'm done whining-for now.

I have a '83 in Grand Prix white. 150th made, nice driver, will be for sale in April.

I love red 911s. So do the cops.

My car was tangerine when I got it. I painted it GP White. I get lots of positive comments now and the cops are oblivious.

If he wants an SC, '83 is it. First year for the cab 911. Only year for the SC.

There were none from '78-'82.

All Carreras '84-'89 were available as cabs.

Red very common, white next, black next, etc.

There are some earlier ones that were privately built up from targas, as old as you want, but that's a crapshoot... depends on the builder's ability/work. None of those are factory.

I think a REALLY nice condition SC cab would be an awesome car to own. White or silver. I saw a white one once with the top light brown, or sort of khaki I guess, beautiful.

Do you think you can grow to love red? They are stunning in person.
And the 80s cliche is pretty forgotten by now, maybe.
Why don't you go look at it.
You never know how you feel standing next to it, and maybe driving it.
If it's awful, and you can't live with it, you can always sell it.

Drove my '85 white gold metallic for 15 years, then sold it to a guy from the Netherlands about a year ago. Bought and put my sister's '88 back on the road and have received more thumbs-up on that 'Guard's Red '88 in one year that I did in 15 years with the white gold metallic. Depends on if you want to be noticed or not...

I used to hate red SCs and Carreras but they are growing on me. In fact, I wouldn't mind a red Targa.
