3.0 carb install
Started installing my new set of webers in the 912-6 today.
First, yank out the CIS (Euro fuel dist, big port version, whats it worth?) ![]() Then I had an empty engine bay.... ![]() Now I have the carbs trial fitted. ![]() I need to find a few bits and pieces, one of the throttle linkages is little worn, and I need fresh fuel line and filters. I may change all the fittings over to AN's to match up with the rest of the lines in the fuel system. I'll be using my high pressure fuel pump, so I need to figure out the fuel circuit. Another question I have, is what do I do with all the left over wires from the CIS harness?

Whay I did with the left over wires was to tie them up with zip ties as cleanly as I could to the harness that they branched off of.

Nice work,
make sure you get a top quality fuel pressure regulator, nou a cheap one with the dial. I believe Mallory units are what is supplied by PMO. Also, very important..........a really good fuel fliter, I'm running a Racor that has a water seperator as well. Cheers

Pressure gauge and plumbing supplied with the carbs.....don't know if I'd trust it with a CIS fuel pump.
![]() Strongly considering the circulating system and all AN lines, either use PMO bars or XRP banjo fittings (if I can find them online somewhere) Does anyone have experience with the PMO or XRP fittings? Thanks!

CIS fuel pump is OK. As long as you have a GOOD press regulator.
Highly recommend the AN fittings. PMO has the parts as well. If you need pics I'll snap a few of my install. Good Luck

John,
I just put 3300 miles on my '74 911 with Webers and it ran great! You'll love the sound and performance of the carbs! Good work!
