911S Alloy Front Calipers, correct brake pads?

I am trying to order some Hawk racing compound front brake pads for my '69 911S. IT has the stock alloy "S" front calipers.

I cannot figure out the correct part number. The Hawk website lists only "911" under model choices for 1970-1973. There is no distinguishing between a T E or S.

Does the alloy S caliper use the same pad as the steel M caliper? It would sure seem they would use a different pad, but Hawk only seems to sell a single pad for all models.

Any ideas?

No

for an S caliper Hawk lists
HPS #HB171F.590
HPS+ #HB171N.590

for an M caliper they list
HPS #HB172F.595
HPS+ #HB172N.595

the above are street compounds

Bill,

Thanks.... that is what I thought was correct but its nice to confirm before ordering! The Discovery Parts guys will be at Road Atlanta tomorrow and I can pick them up at the track.

Now to hijack my own thread....

In another post you posted a pic of yourself on board a nice looking sailboat! Gimme more details.... we are sailer's as well though currently without boat as I recently sold my stinkpotter 34' Sea Ray. My family and I are planning an extended cruise to begin in 2011. We hope to go for 4-6 years. Post some more pics of your boat and make me jealous with details!
