				'73 gas tank value

Any guesses as to what a clean 1973 tank w/neck and sender would be worth? A neighbor saw me working on my car and said he had something I might be able to use- May try to sell it for him if it's worth more than a book of stamps.

			Hey JC,

Thier are two different 73 tanks; the one for the 1973 MFI model and the other for the 1973.5T CIS model. Both are very different tanks, with the big difference being in the CIS tank where its baffled inside and far more expensive then the other tank. In fact the 73.5T CIS tank costs over $900.00 to get at a Porsche dealer and then it comes in from some dusty shelf in a Stuttgard warehouse! If you look at Performance Parts they sell a replica 73 tank (non-CIS) I believe for $300.00. Soooooooooo, if its a 73.5T CIS tank in excellent solid condition figure at least $200-$400. As for the the 73 MFI tank? well considering a replica replacement is fairly cheap, then your on your own on this one. Just remember to advertise it for the appropriate model. Bob 73.5T |
