Looking great Jay! Glad to see that the parts all made it there safely and found their way onto the car. I have to agree that the warpig should stay on the car in some form, even if you had vinyl decals made. Hope the project is going well!

Hello Clint...should be able to get your cores in the mail by the end of the week.... Ive been raising a crow with a broken wing and the guys at the shop have been telling me I need to do a crow graphic now..LOL
|
BTW I cannot even start to explain how amazing the craftsmanship and ease of dealing with Clint over at Rebel racing is... If you need anything at all give Clint a try, you will not be disappointed...
thanks again and talk soon Jay |
well we ran into a snag this week..the front mount oil cooler is on backorder(and we are shooting to get it on the road by the 25th)..So after a little thought and modification of the rsr valence we were able to make use of the old one for now..

what's up with the oil lines sticking out through the bumper? kinda ruins the look of the front end IMO.

Lets see some more pictures - I love the matte black finish, it looks brilliant!
|
Cool. Nice work. What color(s) will you paint it?
|
WOW, looks great. Leave it flat blk.
|
Flat black does look MEAN.
It looks like this car started out to be one of those interesting metallic brown colors, which are cool. My car is one of those colors, which works great for a street car. I've always imagined that a track car is a nice place for some LOUD paint. At any rate, it's going to be a fun car. And beautiful whether you paint it or not. |

I have to agree the flat black looks great, Im really loving it... Matt the owner of Sports car restoration over in Mildale CT.. put a piece of masking tape on the bumper that reads.. "no its not finished yet.." LOL Thanks guys, I will post a ton more pics this weekend.. Jay |
Well I guess we sort of strayed away from the IROC look a little... after removing the drip rails it looked so smooth that the flat lid just flowed a bit better.. I do have the IROC tail to finish for track days still and who knows once I put it on it probably will stay.. We got it on the road and all the bugs worked out this saturday and it ran great... the handling is just amazing its just a completely different car altogether... Heres a bunch more photos from this weekend. check out the aluminum strips on the rear window, filed nice and smooth...
Well we are going to iron out a few more bugs this week and hit Limerock for labor day.. then it comes apart again so we can modify the trunk lid to vent the oilcooler over the top.. some engine work..and paint Jayhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...FH-rsrs002.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...MB-rsrs001.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...CU-rsrs006.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...QP-rsrs007.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...KB-rsrs003.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...PZ-rsrs008.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...PR-rsrs009.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...SO-rsrs011.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-...XF-rsrs012.jpg |
