I'm almost giddy...
Please bear with me... I get a bit giddy at milestones like this!
All my filler/block sanding work on my 2-to-make-1-welded-down-the-middle front bumper is done! I finally got to do the final test fit of the front bumper with all the new "bling-bling" actually bolted or screwed-on like it will be permanently! ![]() ![]() I'm finding it hard to remember when it looked like this (selective amnesia): ![]() All that remains is a small boo-boo to fix on the bottom edge of the rear deck lid right about where the P in the PORSCHE emblem sits. Then the bodywork phase is done and on to filler primer and block sanding! Good thing, SPRING is in the AIR in Seattle and I'm ready for car show season again! ![]() My '66 912 Project |

As usual........beautiful work Darryl. Having owned a '65 912 I know how attached and excited one can get in the restoration of an early car.
Carry on with the great work!

Wow, that's quite something. Amazing what a guy who knows what he's doing can accomplish. Bodywork must be quite an art...

Darryl, once again, your work and expertise shines through! Your work is simply beautiful. Looks almost too good to paint, although Bahama Yellow will look very nice...
![]() Keep up the good work, but we all know you will. You're truly an inspiration to us all. Mike

Daryl, It looks great! I assume you will repaint in original Bahama (I would) but that second picture sort of reminds me of Peru Red...which a a VERY nice period color. Just fantasizing here a bit for you!

Darryl,
As the owner of a '72T that needs MUCH less work than the car you started with, I would like to make a request that you stop posting pics of your progress. You really can make some of us on this board feel inadequate, in a bodywork sort of way. ![]() BTW, your work is amazing, and you are an inspiration. Simply stunning. Jim |

Yikes! Dude that second photo is ... delicious. That primer rust color should have been an original paint code. Bahama yellow here you come! Thanks for posting the pics. Could you show us some side view and back end? Awesome. Just to let you know, this kind of stuff is very inspiring to me as well.
ps the tights and cape thing is scary...
