Front Strut top mount bracket...rebuildable?

82' 911sc is the patient under surgery:

What are the options to replace the rubber bushings on this top front strut bracket (located in the front trunk to hold the top of the strut to the car)?

a p/n of 901 341 018 is on the bottom rubber and on Pelican it says it goes to 911/911 turbo...I click on the subject and it takes me to 914 stuff with no mention of 911 application.

1. is there a polycarbonite type of rubber replacement for this as I am also using this stiffer rubber for other suspension area's?
2. Maybe not a Pelican item or not recommended to use?
3. I don't want to drop $130 for the entire bracket...I am planning on sending out the metal to be cad plated w/ a bunch of other stuff and want to "tweak" improve the rubber over what the factory originally used.
4. I don't want to drop even more $$ for the ultra stiff elephant stuff...though that stuff is the best...just can't justify it on this patient.

Thanks all for your inputs!
Bob

If this is what you are looking for, you only get the bushings. It looks like you need to retain the metal sleeve from the center of the bushing from your bushings.

thanks tony. I still cant get the pics to upload but that is the part.

Any other options to consider that are less $$ vs. the elephant stuff? (again, the elephant stuff is great, just too much for this patient)
Thanks! Bob

The parts are the same from 65 to 89 I believe. You might try a used place like Parts Heaven in CA or Oklahoma Dismantler etc. There are a bunch of them. Might get a good used pair for cheap or try asking for a pair in the classifieds section.
As far as new goes, that is pretty much the least expensive way to go.
