915 to 930 flanges
I'll be having a 1978 915 tranny on the way soon and was wondering how hard it would be to swap out the drive flanges for 930s. I need the greater angle of the CVs for my project. Expensive? Would it be easier to machine/ redrill the existing flanges to fit the 930 CVs? Any help would be appreciated! Any sources for the redrill or the flanges? Thanks.

The 930 flanges should be a straight bolt in. Pretty sure there isn't enough metal on the 915 flanges to accept 930 cv's. Not exactly sure what the 930 flanges are going to accomplish that the 915's won't.

930 flanges were OEM on factory 451 widebodies equiped with 915s.
