Started new project..need help from body experts

Well I started removing the front and rear bumpers today..and I'm in the process of test fitting the bumpers...(BTW purchased from TRE) I am curious what most do to attach the front and rear bumpers? Dave (from TRE) already has bolts extending from the inside of the bumpers...Do most people just grind off the bolts on the bumper shocks and redrill and attach the new bumpers?

Here are a few pics of the beginning of this project

and here are a few pics of what will be going on...

I am no expert, however I faced the same question last year with a bumper that looks exactly like the one you have. I fabbed a mount out of some plate where the studs fasten and welded a tube on the plate that attatched to the factory bumper mounting location on the chassis. Hope that helps..........Garry

I'm not an expert either, however, I have seen many body kits and their attachment methods. Most are just held together with a few screws on the flanged portion of the bumpers. You will probably have to drill holes and attach the pieces together. I would recommend some angle bracing as well.
