quick exhaust stud question

Finally starting the SSI addition. Studs are not a problem so far thanks to this board and the suggestion to use heat on the nuts. One stud did back out with the nut. When I put the new stud back in do I put anything on it, anti-sieze ect. Anit-sieze on the new nuts right?... Should I get a tap to make sure the threads are good inside? the stud looks perfect so I don't think there is a problem. How do you get the stud tight in the hole if there isn't a nut to tighten it with? Are these stupid questions? Sorry. :-)

It is called the 'Double-nut' method! Put two new nuts on the stud and tighten them agaibst one another with two wrenches, then tighten the stud with a couple of drops of Orange Loktite on the threads to be put into the casting! Remove the double nuts and you are done with that stud.
