Engine Comp. Lower Seal Installation

The lower seal in my engine compartment (the rubber pc with a leg that goes above the shroud and one below)is cooked above the cat and falling apart. I have the shroud off the engine and would like to replace the seal.

Do you slide a new unit in at one end an work it around the engine compartment....or do you put the upper part of the retaining "T" in and force the lower one into the groove? Hints are welcome...

Thanks, Todd

Todd,

Having done that a few dozen times on VW Beetles, Type 3s, Karmann-Ghias and Busses ... but never on a 911, the ONLY way to go is to start at one corner and slide/feed all the way around! I can't even imagine trying to do it the other way!
