Help please 89 carrera start problem
 

hi guys i have searched the forum and cant find the answer im looking for, so can you please help!

89 carrera turns over but will not fire.
renewed DME and starter motor, however if i push the car 5 metres it fires up.

Theres no spark to the dizzy.. DME working fine, fuel pump engaging, green wire is in v good condition..

can you please help identif what the problem may be?

Just to clarify...when you say "DME" are you refering to the relay or the actual unit? I had some problems similar to this on my '87 and it turned out to be a broken solder on the DME unit itself, however the relay had been replaced.

Hi i replaced the actual DME relay... sorry to sound dim but wheres the DME unit? Is it under the passenger seat as well?
