Reinstalling carbs
I've rebuilt my Zenith 40-TIN carbs over the winter and I'll be reinstalling them in the car this weekend. Just wanted to ask if there are any special precautions I should take, or any time-saving advice anyone has. I've read the 101 Projects article on balancing and tuning, plus I printed off the manual from that site with the Zenith info on it (http://www.gary.suggate.dsl.pipex.com/index.htm). I've got a synchrometer.
Should I just bolt them in, connect the linkage (just to start/warm up the engine), then proceed with the tuning once the engine's warm? The engine has sat since early December without starting (I used stabil in the gas, though, so it should be fine). New points were installed in the fall and the dwell and timing set then, and the car was running fine before I put it away for the winter. Thanks for any tips! Chris
