Where to Start/ Engine swapped?

Looks like the block in my 68 S # 118 00065 was swapped out at some point. The engine # that is in the car now corresponds to a 69T. With all of the possibilities of the 2.0 L engine I dont know what I have! Question is this? This car sure doesnt drive like any T I have driven before, tons of power! The old owner is dead so that source of info useless. What is the best way for me to determine what the specs are on the car? Should I drop the engine and take a look? (dont want to). Any suggestions would be great?

A G-Tech Pro would give you some idea. Or run the engine on a dyno.
