RSR PCA GT5S build
This project began quite some time ago, it has taken a while through the whole process but it is really starting to roll now.
I have made some more progress on the car this week. What I have done is flush mounted the oil cooler so that it does not stick out in front of the body, this way it would not sustain damage if the car gets bumped in the nose. The hot air will vent out the sides of the inner fenders. This will be guided by an aluminum panel just in front of the fuel cell and sealed so that all the air goes out the side vents. You will also notice that I made a provision for a drain access hole for the oil cooler for when we change oil in the car we can drain the cooler as well. I have all of this tacked in place and will finish weld it with the TIG welder so that all the welds are nice and clean. I will also box in the exposed hole in the cooler mount where the drain is. Starting on the oil tank mount and the other seat frame this week, I have also began fitting the main part of the cage.

I plan to mount my oil cooler in a similar manner, but vent it out the trunk hood, do you have pictures of how it is mounted in the trunk, did you fabricate some kind of bracket?
Nice seat bracket, did you use 1" square tube?

The cooler will be mounted to the lower tubing that I fabricated in and then to the upper nose (bulkhead). I will mount both the top and the bottom with rubber bushings for vibration protection.
The seat frames are 1" square tubing. Much easier to mount after-market seats this way. Seat frame pics.

I have a very similar seat mounting frame in my car. Have you thought about moving the flat plates towards the tunnel and sill and stitch welding? You'll gain some strength compared to welding three sides of each of those tubes as you have it now.
Good luck with the oil cooler project.
