What problems will I encounter??

You all know I own 2 porsches one is a 69 targa 911E and the other is 70 coupe 911E
one motor is out on my garage floor in pieces is from the 70 coupe. this is how I bought it it is missing 5 heads and other misc. parts so I plan to rebuild the 2.2 later. but I want to put the 2.0 in the coupe from the targa and wondering what problems will I have swapping the MFI to Carbs I have the zenith carbs from the Coupe. or should I keep the MFI on the motor and just drop it in??
and slowly rebuild the 2.2 then drop it in when I am done.

DUDE, ITS P-O-R-S-C-H-E!!!! SPELLING THE P WORD CORRECTLY IS MANDATORY HERE!!!! IF THIS IS NOT CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY, YOU WILL BE BANNED FROM THIS BOARD AND THE DMV WILL BE NOTIFIED OF YOUR WHEREABOUTS!!!!

Fuel pumps are not the same between
the two induction types. Unless there
some sort of pressure regulator valve in-line
on 70E carb setup-- which you would have to remove to go with MFI. Other than
that, take what you have on the '69
and transfer it over to the '70.

MFI when it works right is a better
way to go. However it is a dark art
to tune and knowledgable MFI wrenches
are few and far between. If you live
near Denver, you are set with Eisenbud.
However, outside of California shops,
you might be better off with carbs.

When I first got resurrected '72T in Eastern Washington, it was an utter joke trying to find a wrench who knew anything about MFI.
I was working with Bosch diesel truck guys
in desperation!

Good luck. Hold on to your MFI parts,
they are appreciating faster than
most tech stocks!

Hey lighten on this fella Motion, he spelled
the P word right once.

Robert:
I think I have similar stock pains as
you but I had to chuckle about
your vivid metaphor. My Porsche growth
account ain't buying the Kumhos this year!

Tech stocks no problem for me. Strictly into GE. Bought my 83 SC with a 3 week venture last year. Can't wait old Al to drop those rates another point. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!
