B & K type R muffler fit 74 Carrera bumpers?

Hi Pelicaners,

After an engine rebuild, SSI Headers, now what muffler to put on my 1974 Carrera with the "narrow" bumper overriders?

Will the B & K "R-style" muffler fit around those bumperettes?

Thanks for any advice ( I have talked with Ben at B & K)

T.G.

Pelicaners,

Thanks for all the input, I've looked and listened to the clips on U-tube, and get a pretty good idea what (only some) sound like, how about a 2in-2-out with the Boxster style?

Since my bumperettes are 30.5 inches center to center the R-style would interfer, as he bumperettes extend a ways down.

A special thanks for Ben's input! Ben what size are the exhaust pipes coming out of the muffler, and how far do they extend past the bumper (hopefully not that far)

I guess the Boxster style is my only option for 2-out... and modify the valance.

you could use a "sport muffler" or the GT3 Look with no issues.

the R mufflers use 2.5 inch tail pipes@8 inches length
