This bbs does rule

The biggest problem for me is, and seriously, it is a problem, Performance Products is 3 miles from my house. I can go to the showroom, pick and choose from the catalog, and walk out that day with what I need....it's very hard to "plan things."...but I owe this place a lot...without it, many of us would be a crop of wet pooches running around the 'net, and who knows, maybe we'd get lost at some Vette side, or god forbid, egging on Rice Burner boys at one of their bbs's.
So, I say, I need to step up my orders from this place--and I definitely will do.

Like others on this board, money is a top concern when shiopping for a part. The guys at Pelican understand, I am sure. However, when ever the price is close, or even a little more, I support his board by purchasing from Pelican. If it wasn't for this board I would have never heard of Jack and have the plan of a $7,000 engine upgrade. Thanks Jack and my fiancee thanks you too. And I would have never had the support from all of you. the costs I have saved from the experience on this board has saved me more than any wholesale P-car outlet would have ever saved me.

Kurt, I don't see a BBS by Performance or Automotion. And I ask, do they really care?

Well, I remember when going to Performance, I'd see only Porsches in the showroom parking lot. They expanded to include Mercedes. Okay, I thought.
Now, they include trucks and stuff. That means, the same bozos who want a piece of me running around town, and who respond to their spankings by following me with their brights on (I really shouldn't gloat so much), are in that show room too.
All in fun of course, but still....
And, let's face it, Performance is very costly...much more than Pelican.

I think Performance Products and Automotion have merged, into one giant overpriced partshouse.

You know, I have a good truck story. At a stoplight, one pulled up next to me in the right hand lane. Past the intersection about a couple hundred yards down there's some parked cars. Practically every time the light changes there's some sort of race...and this truck guy was no different. He even revved his engine.

The light turned yellow for the opposing direction, and he was already revving his engine and pulling forward...on green, he practically spun his tires. I just pulled forward to get rolling, punched it in first, and rolled right past him.

After I was three carlengths past him, I slowed down to the legal limit. I let him pass me on the right side, his engine laboring.

Point made. No brights in my rearview mirror, either. Call me weak, but every once in a while I take out my frustration of having face-level brights in my rearview on some unsuspecting schmuck like this.

Oh, and on Performance Products: At least you can get good ideas from their lovely color catalog. I'd never buy anything from them, as they're indeed horrifically Porsche-taxed, but it's a good bathroom read.

Oh, I'm a point-to-be-made guy myself. I think I get the brights, when some guy's just coming home from work and is in no mood for Joe Cool zooming and inching in front of him to make sure he (joe cool) is the First car at the light...(hate getting stuck behind Joe 35 mph)
In fact P cars are point-to-be-made cars for drag racing. It's funny, another stang, but a slick stang was egging me on this week.
Nice tires, a very loud engine, great rims..
now I was supposed to go straight at the light to get home, but since he made a right, I followed him to the light.
He revved. I did nothing.
When a car is balanced the way a p-car is, all our HP and torque goes right into motion...I'm not squeaking wheels, buddy, I'm moving forward, that's why you're starting to see my tail lights...yeah, that's right, I'm ahead now...
But then I break off...he'd start to overtake me anyway probably, and I can't afford the ticket. In any case, point made.
