fitting turbo brakes & trailing arms to an SC

I've been reading up on fitting turbo brakes to my hard worked SC which is currently fitted with 3.2 carrera brakes and still suffering a bit during track work.

Reading up on here it appears that I need the early 78-80 hat and disc combo for the front and to modify the calipers mountings to fit the SC rear trailing arms.

as luck would have it, I've just been offered a complete set of front and rear suspension components from an 79 model turbo with the floating hats/discs.

I would really appreciate some input befor I proceed with the purchase so here goes

...can the turbo rear arms be fitted directly to the SC to save modifying the rear calipers

..is there any benefit in replacing my SC front legs directly with the turbo units, I'm assuming the removal of the 25mm spacer will keep any wheel clearance issues in hand

...anything else I should be worried about

thanks

yes, but, the mounting points at the torsion bar tube would need to have camber boxes welded in at the appropriate point and the 930 arms are going to move the wheel outboard(930 rear fenders are needed or different o/s wheels) This is a lot of expensive work which would be worth it for an all out race car, but probably not for a dual purpose car. W/ deep pockets you might feel differently though.

The only difference between SC/Carrera struts and 930 struts is the shock cartridge, 930 used Bilstein HD stock, they were options on the other cars. If you want Bilstein struts it's a worthwhile upgrade.

You will also want late 930 m/c

Have you considered just upgrading your front brakes? I am sure your rear brakes are not "suffering" at all, only the fronts. The stock rear brakes on the carrera are more then enough for track use.
The ProBraking Super 4 kit will increase your thermal capacity in the front with 32mm wide rotors, and they still fit under all the 911 part number Fuchs with no spacer, or modification. The Super 4 also works with your stock rear brakes and stock master because it has the same fluid displacement as your stock calipers.
