Warren:
Thanks for all your advice, whether directed at me or not. I'm in the process of becoming one of those "evil" owners of a 964 C4 car, but you've steered me clear of many a lemmon with your advice...whether you knew it or not! Thanks, and I SINCERELY mean that. Bill Wagner [This message has been edited by Bill Wagner (edited 01-19-2001).] |

I want to thank Warren, but also everyone else on the board. This board is so much more informative than other boards that I have used in the past, or that I use now. I use Stangnet.com for info on my 2000 Mustang GT, but this board is 100 times better! Everyone wants to help out when a member has a problem. Also, the Pelican Parts tech articles are priceless! In the middle of Carrera tensioner update. Hit a snag on one of the chain ramps. Ran to computer, asked the Oracle what to do. Warren is there with the answer in real time! Back and finished the job with confidence. Many thanks.

With so much Porsche knowledge, historically and techniqally, you ought to write a book.
Let's see that early S car on the Porsche Owners Gallery ![]() Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I don't repair my 911 myself yet still it's interesting to read your posts. |

I too sing the praises of Warren Hall. He is continually showing his selfless nature with a constant stream of knowledge.
Thank you for all your help: past, present and future. BTW why haven't you built another car with all those "spare" parts you keep for reference? Jamie Novak 71 911T targa(Wish it was an Early_S) http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jpnovak |

Being stuck in Panama with no local support, I must admit that I have learned a great deal from all at this board, especially Warren, and also I have to thank Bruce A. for all of the valuable information provided. A big thanks to all who post here and help others in need for information.

Bruce Anderson knows about performance upgrades. Warren knows about the care and maintenance of 911s, particularly early ones. If each of these men were to teach a class in his area of expertise, I suspect Bruce would need Warren's class more than Warren would need to hear Bruce talk.
And the kinds of tips Warren has are immeasurably valuable to the owner-mechanic, whcih is why I've gone on record as favoring a book. but Warren is so good to us, and has been so generous to me, that I'll have every repsect for Warren's decisions, even if he chooses not to write a book. We're all very blessed to have Warren as a friend. ------------------ '83 SC |

Well from the southernmost tip of the USA (Key West).
I could not let this thread disappear without chiming in and thanking you again Warren. It seems you give out your advice free and without any expectations of gratitude or wealth in return. So for the moment all I can do is thank you sincerely!. If you ever get round to the book I am in ( this all must be enuf for a publisher to throw a huge lump of cash as a 1st installment already!!!). But until then.... Taa! ![]() |

Warren is a very generous man. There really is no way to properly thank him for all the work he's done for us. Thanks, Warren. Thank you for all of your advice, support, and friendship.

Warren - can't you come to Washington instead of Dubya?. Presidents are a dime a dozen around here but Porsche Gurus are in short supply!

I haven't had need to post too often, because I can just run a search against a given topic and Warren's moniker and get all the answers I need. I have them all collected into a Word document that I refer to often.
Warren, thanks! ------------------ Greg 72 911S |
