I dont know what changed ?
I replaced my clutch on my 83SC this week and while in there I changed oil cooler seals, thermostat oil ring, preasure switch, and spark plugs, was careful in checking all the hoses for a secure fit and put the car back together.
The car is running fantastic ![]() Here is the question ![]() When I took the oil cap off to check my oil level the car dies, I tried holding the car at a higher RPM and that did not help, the car never did this before the repair. Has anyone had this problem ? Thanks to all in advance. GB83SC [This message has been edited by GB83SC (edited 01-19-2001).] |

When you open the oil tank, it creates a large vacuum leak. If your mixture is set too lean, then this vacuum leak will further lean the mixture and stall the engine. You should get your mixture set correctly. Also check for other possible vacuum leaks.

Is it possible that the restrictor on your breather hose is missing?
