Muffler Exposed-Opinions?

I just installed a Fabspeed cat bypass and a Dynomax muffler on my '86 coupe. I like the way it sounds and runs now, but not too wild about the way it looks. i.e. I didn't really want to see it at all. I don't know if this a common problem or if it's a problem at all... I've considered painting it with hi-heat black or replacing it with another muffler. Does the M&K tuck up nicely like the stock one? What would you do?

Thanks
-ernie

Paint it, works great. FYI The M&Ks tuck up nicely even without a lower valance... like so...

M&K is about the same as the stock unit for the amount you see.

Angle it back into the space behind the bumper.

thats actually is 1 of the reasons why I started making mufflers. I love the basic sound of those mufflers but wanted it to look more correct..(not proper english "more correct")

However for the cheap fix just paint it

Ben

Does your muffler sound similar to the Dynomax? I've heard lots of sound clips of the m&k, of course, but not really familiar with "real life" sound. The Dyno is exactly what I was looking for re: tone and volume, but the look is bothering me right now.

Regards

I'm over in Port St Lucie, If you get over this way, you can listen to SSI's with an M&K. I love the sound.
