Video tutorial on repairing crushed oil lines
Here is a link to a youtube video tutorial on repairing a crushed oil line from a 911.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqSfnWNQa3M I had read about this a while back and purchased some damaged lines to give it a try. The thread I saw before showed a very nice jig, but I've made a simple jig you can make with a jigsaw, wood 2X4 and a bike tube with a presta valve. I was amazed how easy it was. It took me about an hour and a half to make the jig and repair about five crushed spots. I did however get my first try too hot and made a small hole in the line, which I brazed repaired. Have a look, and try it yourself. Take your time the first try out so you don't blow out the line. Once you have the jig on, pressureize the system with a pump to 80 psi. Heat the spots as shown in the video and you'll have a working line in a few minutes.
