I have armrests for both sides that I slide in for very long drives. Otherwise, I get a pain in my neck from supporting my arms for so long. I never used the door-based armrest, though. For the support to be meaningful, I think you need one for each arm.

Jack, can you give some detail on arm rest. Slide in? Any pics to show how it works? They attach to seat?
Thanks,

Karl.

Do a search for Jacks armrest - plenty of pics somewhere as I remember.

I found the default position of the RSA apbiz panels put the new grab handle in the right position to rest your elbow on - a double result following fitting.

You're right jevvy.
Broke my own rule about "search 1st, ask Q's l8r".
i had only looked at jack's signature link to pics etc.

the link for those interested is here

I looked, or rather, am looking at appbiz.
The choice for me, is the insulated/non insulated bare door panel set, over which i put my own material, or the 73RS panel.

Karl.

I have the '73 panels in my Carrera 3. If I was still sitting up in the stock position with a factory wheel I would maybe miss the rests, but sitting on a lower seat, on lower rails, with a higher, shorter-throw shifter and a spaced Prototipo, the reach to the steering wheel etc is quite significantly reduced and the driving position is lots comfier than stock. So I don't miss the rests. Or the pockets for that matter, which is what I had convinced myself I would miss the most.

Why not take your pockets and lids/armrests off for a week and see how you go without them?

Is this a track car? If so, just take off the armrests, door pockets and door handles and install a bolt with a nylon strap to actuate the door lever --> instant RSA door panels.
