Another G50 noise thread. Advice?
Ok - I get a fairly loud whine on deceleration, even louder if it's downhill. It seems worse after warm-up.
I had the box stripped down and all bearings were replaced except a mainshaft bearing which was left in because it was concealed between two of the gearbox castings - stupid I know - it should have been done. So - could that be the culprit? I wonder if it might be the diff ring & pinion? Any other suggestions guys? |
