Do these shoes make me look younger?

Thanks to a fellow Pelican, I have a new (to me) set of wheels. I love how they look but I'm feeling a little guilty about not being period correct. I think I'll just have to get over it. Of course, I'm keeping the Fuchs. Maybe I'll send them to Al Reed. What do you guys think?

Thanks Jon for the wheels!

Moses, I've been following your project. Looking forward to seeing the final product in polish or RSR.

Dude,

Don't worry about period correct.

If it rocks your boat then let it float!

Excellent! Is your ride height USA Spec?

17" Fikse wheels are light and strong. This is a performance upgrade, not just cosmetics. Better tire choices for 17s. They look very correct.

Luke, I think it is US spec. It can definitely stand to be lowered. I think the 17" tires actually accentuate the ride height. I'll look into it with my mechanic in a few weeks. Is this something I can do myself (not a mechanic) or does the car need to be corner balanced as well?

This is something I am currently going through myself. I have received a quote from a local "pelican approved" shop for corner balancing and alignment. They want roughly $550.00. It was explained to me that this could vary depending upon the amount of time needed for alignment. Corner balancing is definitely outside of the average driveway mechanic and his tools. Lowering a car is the opening of Pandora’s Box. It raises all the next questions. Do I upgrade my shocks etc... I have a low mileage Cab that was lowered prior to my ownership I am wrangling w/ all these question myself. I have an extra set of 7 & 9s I want to upgrade to. Options are mind boggling....polish, Bilsteins.....
