NEED HELP! Locked out of my own car...

here is the scoop. I bought a used 2000 996 c2 cab 5 months ago that was in really bad condition and have been rebuilding it as money comes in.
I bought the car with only 1 key, the remote on the key does not work. has not been a big deal, its on the list to get fixed. i have been using the key to lock and unlock the door.

So saturday night i locked the door and it felt like something broke inside the door. now my car is sitting locked, alarm armed and I have no way to get into it. I have the key in my hand .... bought it doesn't work.

I have called 2 locksmiths and neither said they could get into my car.

I was able to get into the trunk, but that doesn't help get in my car.

do I brake a window? how would the dealer get in? I am far from rich, the only dealer here in Tampa has already said it would be around $1k before everything is done.

somebody out there has had to of had this problem before.

try posting on the 996 forum. you might find some help there.
As a last resort you might have to remove the windshield and just replace the seal when your done.

I would think that someone with a Slim Jim could open the door. How about the passenger door that wont unlock with the key..... Slim_Jim
