				MFI Barometric cell

I have a 70 "S" MFI motor that I want to install K&N's on. I've modded the base plate so the microswitch and fuel lines clear but the barometric cell (the big gold thing on top of the MFI pump) sticks too far into the filter area. Does anyone know of an aftermarket piece that is smaller. Any other options? Thanks

mine cleared with no problems. this kit was from PMO about 12 years ago, and meant for webers. Bill K

FYI I removed your post from the engine forum to avoid a cross-post. If you remove the barometric cell, the mixture will be extremely rich. Henry Schmidt offers a modification to the pump, sounds like a screw that can be adjusted in a fixed position. I don't know of any alternatives to the baro cell in the aftermarket.
