Steering wheel adaptor question - Luisi

I recently bought another steering wheel because it was the coolest looking one I have seen yet. It is an Italian Luisi wheel. The good news is that women's boots everywhere are feeling a LOT safer tonight!

Bad news, it came off a 944. I have a lead on where to get a new hub possibly, from a Dalhems. I was wondering if anyone out there knew for sure if any other hubs that might be easier to come by, will fit the bolt pattern. I have a Dino hub at home I will try later tonight, but I am stcuk at work for a while and thought someone else may have been through it before. I have read somewhere that the Luisi, Nardi, and Personal wheels all use the same hubs...

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have a Nardi wheel which I haven't fitted yet, and bought a Simoni hub which is supposed to be universal and fit most wheels. This universal hub has two bolt patterns drilled into it - one pattern is for Mono wheels and the other for Nardi, so it sounds like these are two widely used bolt patterns. I'm guessing the bolt pattern of your Luisi is most likely to match that of Nardi since they are both Italian, although I don't know for sure.

I haven't fitted my Nardi yet, so if you like I could measure the bolt pattern for you - the only problem though is that my Nardi wheel is in storage in England and I won't be retrieving it for about another month. If you haven't got yourself a suitable hub in a month's time PM me, and I will measure my Nardi bolt pattern to see if the hub will fit your wheel. Sorry I can't be any more help than that.
