Master Weber rebuilders?

I bought a set of Webers with low miles for ~$700. They are from an early car, 66-68, I think. They have been sitting for 32 years. I need an EXPERT rebuilder/machinist. A quick search of the archives yields Eurometrix.ws, but he is 4-6 weeks out. I want to drive my car to my commencement, which is in 3 weeks. What I need is to ship these carbs to someone who will evaluate then restore them/ upgrade them. Maybe they will only need a rebuild kit, but maybe the throttle shafts are frozen, shagged, etc. I want replated bits as well. I can rebuild my own, and have done before, but I want a master to bring it back from the dead.

Anybody know who does TOP notch work, who deals almost exclusively with Porsche carbs?

Thanx!

You might try Bieker Engineering in Oregon or Henry at Supertec, but you might find that 3 weeks is a bit too ambitious a schedule for anyone to do a major rebuild including throttle shafts. You might be able to just clean and throw a rebuild kit on them and see if they work in that amount of time, but to have them totally redone, you are probably going to find backlogs at all the major shops spoiling your plans.

Tab Tanner at Autobahn Garage in Findlay, OH rebuilt my Webers and installed them. I've put more than 4000 miles on the car since 12/22/06 with no problems. Tab is a great guy, his number is 491.957.7210

Despite being told a 5 week turn around it took Bieker Engineering 4 months to do my 46mm Webers.
