Smile Help me understand oil coolers :)

I am looking to replace the factory trombone oil cooler in my SC with a front mounted oil cooler to fit behind my bumper and valance (after-market with more space). I have been looking at this one http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploads10/DSC011491176573782.jpg But for approximately the same price I can get a new cooler here in Sweden. The cooler here on pelican has the dimensions 533mm x 101.5mm and the one I am looking at here in Sweden is a 405mm x 125mm x 50mm.

Here is where I am lost in the world of oil coolers. Does it make a difference that one is longer and the other is higher? What are the things I should be looking for when purchasing an oil cooler??

Just make sure that it fits the available space. too long and it will hang out the bottom.

The fender well is a harsh environment, the trombones and aftermarket coolers like the Turbotroll are robust enough to deal w/ it w/o a screening barrier, the radiator types as pictured won't last long w/o some protection from stones.

It helps a lot to seal the sides and top to force all the available air through the fins.
