Acura Seats in a 911...

Was surfing Ebay this morning and came across an intersting car. I do not care for the car to much but did notice that the seats were from and Acura RSX. A friend of mine who has an RSX told me that the type S seats are manufactured by Recaro and after seeing the black leather ones that are in his car I am now considering this since you can pick up a pair of these seats used for around $500.

Anyone else on this form tried this in their car? Not sure how much mdifications were done to bolt them in but I plan on taking my friends seat out next week and measuring the offsets to see if they fit direct.

Shanghai,

I think this is one of those things that if you do it, you just kind of keep it quiet and dont tell anyone that the seats are from a Honda. You will probably have to modify the mounts.

To answer your question, I doubt you will find anyone else who has put Honda stuff in a 911.

edit..... checked out your recent thread......they look great.

Looks nice but keep in mind modifying the mounts against the body which requires welding is not fun (fuel lines there.) If you can adapt with a bolt-on adapter or drill the existing mounts it might go well.

I have owned 8 Honda's (Acura) over the years and love the seats. They seem to fit my body really well. If it works let me know cause I'll be looking at doing the swap as well.

Check out the ones in the s2000 too - they are typically multicolored and leather.
