Coil-over from 965 on 87 911
I have seen many people put coilover on their 911. Is there a benefit?
My friend got whole new Bilstein coil-over/struts for his 965 and offered to give me his old set of Boge coil-over/struts. Does anyone know if this is a straight bolt on to my 87 or do I need any mod? If I can't use them, he'll sell them. Anyone know the value? Thanks.

hmmm.. the suspension of the 965 (964?) and the 87 are night and day ... apples and oranges...
your 87 has the spindle integrated into the strut ... the later cars have a spindle assembly that bolts to the strut. I believe there are simular differences for the rear. |

If you want coilovers for your car, you need something looking like this:

965 front and rear suspension is totally different from a 911, no parts are interchangeable.
