1st Porsche, too - 84 Targa
OK, while we're at it, here's my new baby. 1984 Targa with 102K miles. It was a little worn on arrival, but a good hard day of cleaning and polishing has her looking pretty good. The Tires are pretty beat, but I'll have a set of Toyo T1R's in place for some weekend romping along the coast south of San Francisco.
Thanks to all who provided advice - particularly on a PPI in Boulder, CO. If anyone needs a recommendation, I strongly vote for Dave Petitti at Porsche of Boulder. Very nice. Only smokes on start up? My top leaks a lot in heavy rain, I wish you luck.

Nice car, and I hope you lowered that lift before backing..... Maybe do a search for ways to minimize/eliminate the startup cloud.   zefsuper911! Very cool!

Zefsuper911 - nice one. I really like the tail. I think I might just have to get me one of those, but there are probably a few other things ahead of it on the list.
I'm not sure why it was smoking coming off of the truck. It hasn't done that since. Maybe she was mad at me for fawning over some of her travel mates:  The 996 Turbo is pretty cool, but I think I'll be pretty freakin happy with my Targa for a long time! |
