Hello all, after reading through this i'm still a bit confused. My car is an 88 Carrera Sunroof coupe and for the longest time I had a battery drain which I band aided with the use of a battery tender. Anyways, i have now pulled and cleaned the door jamb switches and my ignition buzzer and interior lights are now functioning for the first time since I bought the car.
Thats great, however my power widows are still energized all the time which I'm sure will still cause a drain on my battery. Is the next most likely culprit the power window relay? In the Relay Diagram I see the power window relay is labelled as #1 on the far left, but don't see any others labelled as the "convenience relay". I'm wondering if the fact that my door switched were not grounding for so long that it may have eventually just welded the relay?
Whats my next move? Replace the relay? Would disconnecting the battery open the relay, or should that have happened once the door switches finally grounded?
