SC head differences - explain
I see on the Pelican catalog pages that there are 3 heads listed for the SC 3.0 na
930-104-029-08 = 1978 930 104 028 03 = 1980 930-104-028-05 = 1981 What are the actual differences in the three heads? Also, the heads that were recently removed from my engine have a casting number that does not match any of these numbers. Maybe casting numbers are different from part numbers.... but my head has 930.104.328.3R and on a different flange is cast 7-81. I'm guessing these are 1981 heads. Are they considered good, average, or ? Thanks.

Casting numbers on heads are usually different from part numbers, in my experience.
Real-world differences in SC heads: 78-79 USA had 39/37mm ports, 80-83 USA had 34/36mm. Euro engines kept the larger ports. That's it. PS. I have a set of '81 heads I would be interested in trading for "big port" heads, + cash.
