experiences with performance products replacement gas tank
Anybody actually install one of these? I'm concerned with a) fit and b) compatability with webers.
thanks, erik

i bought one for my 72. i got the early style for a full size spare. it fits fine and came with a zinc paint coating. the filler tube does not line up correctly and no hardware is included. great price however. for the fitting on the back i used 18mm to 8-an adaptors with 8-an to 6-an reducers. from the reducers i used 6-an socketless fuel lines for the send and return lines. there is also a drain hole that i used a 14mm bolt to seal it up.

matt do you know if the tank had a 'swirl pot' inside or is it completely empty?
also, how out of whack is the filler tube and how did you fix it?

i think it is empty, but i'm not really sure. i cut some of the fill neck off and used a longer hose to connect to the fill neck.
