Gratutious Early Car Wheel Lift Shots!- deserves its own thread!

Challenge me.
Doubt me.
Disrespect me.
Tell me I'm older.
Tell me I'm slower.

Tell me I can no longer fly.

James- that' shot's from turn 10 at Gingerman, over by Chicago.

Come on, let's see those raised wheel shots! Bonus if the tire has stopped rotating.

Here is one with both inside wheels showing a good amount of air but not airborne!

I can't tell you if it has stopped rotating, but the puff of smoke is from it skidding on the way up....

I saw a 914 almost flip at an autocross about a month ago. I swear both inside wheels were well over a foot up in the air. The driver entered a 70 ft radius circle a little too fast, and that apparently did it. Scary!

Here's one by Eric Hanson taken of me at the 2002 Porsche Parade autocross. Tires are cantilever slicks. 911 is 72T with 23/31 torsions, TRG sway bars, JRZ shocks, 3.2L and welded in cage. This lift would be excessive on street or R DOT tires, but is somewhat expected on slicks if driven hard enough :

The bar that Randy sets is how much grip an early 911 can have. What a great car and driver! And what a great thread, please keep 'em coming!

And no offense to anyone, but two-wheeler or "914 about to roll" shots always remind me of the glue-sniffing stunt drivers in Ford Falcons at the State Fairs of my youth.
