Help with small annoying issues!
Thankfully, my 89 Cab hasn't given me any major problems in almost one year of ownership. There are a couple of things, though, that I'd like to get to the bottom of:
1. Both side windows rattle over bumps when the windows are raised. I can replicate the sound by grabbing the metal piece between the window and the vent window and moving it. There is some play in there. I'm assuming that my seals are just dried out. Could it be the squeegee guides? 2. My ceiling interior light falls out on bumps. How is this supposed to be affixed on a cab? There is no place for screws. I'm tempted to put a bead of silicone in there. 3. I cannot get the door check strap pin to budge. I've tried hitting it with a hammer. Unfortunately, even though I taped up the paint in that area, I am beginning to put minute scratches in the paint where I missed the pin. Is there a trick to this? I'd really like to replace my door check strap. If I remind my wife again to hold onto the door as she open it, I'm afraid what might happen. There's only so many times I can get the evil eye before she snaps! |

#3: Lose the wife?
![]() Sorry, don't have a cab, so can't help with #1 & 2. OK, so I'm not so much help on #3, either. What do you mean by "door check strap?" The door stop? Any pics of the problem?
