is there suppose to be oil in there (pic)?????

I was playin around with the engine today and open this up and this is what i got... is there suppose to be oil in the compartment? if not what should i do? something must be leaking. Thanks

I think this is the condition caused by over filling of the oil tank. Do some searching on that topic.

Check the oil level, while engine is running, hot and on level ground. You should just see oil at the lower mark. Any higher is too much.

Oiling via crankcase ventilation, yes?

Could be over-filled, but could also be rings that aren't quite up to the job anymore. For what it's worth, I don't think it's particularly unusual...
