What's a guy to do? - new car pictures

For a while now my girlfriend has been hinting that I need a newer car to replace the 944. You see I drive from Augusta to Charlotte frequently and she was really worried about the 944 breaking down, not that it has but I know what she means. No way was I goint to drive the '87 911 that much as it's too gorgeous to put too many miles on. I was very worried about this, you get spoiled driving a Porsche and just couldn't think of any 'ordinary' car I wanted to drive.
The good news is that it turned out really well. After a long series of discussions we managed to find something that would do the job to our satisfaction. We both went out looking at potential replacements at the weekend and did a lot of looking and test driving of vehicles in the price range and model years we were looking for before finding 'the one'.

So here it is. A stable mate to the '87 Carrera...

Beautiful Seal Grey with Charcoal Leather interior. It's a stunning car and I have a great girlfriend. My only trouble will be keeping her out of the drivers seat!
It's true what they say. Porsche - There is no substitute.

The least you could've done is matched the color.

...and that's why I don't want to put too many miles on it.

Actually my girlfriend REALLY likes the '87 too. I think that's why she was interested in the other one.

As for the color, I was after something less attention grabbing than 'Arrest me Red' for regular transport. But those cars look great ZOANAS!

Just turned 200k in the daily driver and rebuilt the race car's motor after 170k. There's just nothing like the G50 cars. Your new Carrera looks sweet, and I bet the hot Georgia summers will be a little easier to handle.

What color is the red one- same as mine?

Doesn't look like guards- could be the cam.

My car lived in SC until I bought it in '05.

That's an absolutely beautiful car. I see you got the '02 with the 3.6 as well. I drove an '01 once and loved it. One day I hope to buy a 996. Have fun!

You're right - Carmine Red.

Thanks for all the comments. I am VERY lucky and still can't get over climate control WOW!

I drove a '99 996 a few months ago and I still can't believe how fast and responsive it was! Magnificent car, I hope you're very happy with it!
