Front pan update or 'Tip of the Iceberg'
Been cutting spotwelds and bending metal in preparation for the big day; i won't remove the entire pan until my replacement pan/support arrive.
First picture is a 'before' Later pictures are what i found underneath the pan support... ![]() ![]() ![]()

some more....
![]() ![]() A-arm front mounts are removed and 'x' measurements are taken. still need to measure height to mounting points from ground but otherwise ready to start doing some serious cutting. the more i do of this the less intimidated i am. this attitude may change once pan is completely out and lateral supports are exposed but for now it's just not that big a deal.

Looks great, I had the same experience. Be sure to line the new pan up, clamp it down and take some measurements before you tack it in place. Also, I found the it was nearly impossible to get the front edge to mate flush with the front of the tub where it curves upward toward the bumper. I tacked it across the front, and lived with the small gap the overhang created.

sorry about the rust under there. if you have a local shop with a "jig" for the front suspension, see if you can borrow that to make sure you got it right.
rejoice in the fact that you have a Viper Green car under there or so it looks like ![]()

thanks guys. yes it does appear the original color on this car is conda green (aka viper green depending on year i believe). it is certainly a crying shame the car wasn't repainted the proper color but if it were i probably wouldn't have been able to buy it for $13k.
