1969 Hazard Switch Question/Clarification (67 & 68 too)

My hazard switch knob is broken off and I was curious what the OE style is. I have seen a correct knob (part no.) with the hazard symbol, but it had a rubber surround like the head light switch. Is that correct is should it be just the hard plastic knob as shown in the PET? Pelican shows these knobs as available special order. Has anyone out there ordered one and replaced it?

Thanks.

I think the rubber was a DOT thing from '68 on. Hard plastic is certainly 64-67. I don't have Dr. Johnson's book handy but that would be where I would look.

Hi John. Thanks for the clarification. I was going to look in Dr. Johnson's book tonight, but sometimes the information can be sketchy and pictures unclear. I figured that the early gurus on Pelican would set me straight. Thanks again.

I can tell you that the hazard switch in the 69 is a one year only item, it was "switched" to the push-button type in 70. They can be a little hard to find - ask me how I know

My 69 has the rubber knob, matches the headlight switch, I would upload pic. but I have tried that and cannot figure it out?
