911R Hinge Location / Measurement

Does anyone know the measurement or proper location to mount the 911R hinge? What is the measurement from the deck-lid edge to the hinge? I’m aware that this is critical so the hinge will not “bind” when opening it. I might have seen a post indicating it was 10" or 12" measured from the edge of the deck-lid to the center of the hinge. Your responses are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

John,

The picture posted is of my car. My hinges are 12.5 inches from the side edge of the decklid to the center of the hinge. Im not sure if this is exactly where the real 911R's had them placed but its probably very close. I tried to get them as far appart as possible without any binding, however I think they look nice lined up with the support section of the deck lid grill so I bet I could have gone a bit further out if I wasn't concerned with that.
