911 SC clutch replacement - disk recommendations?

My 911SC has the tranny and engine out for service work.

Stock clutch is down to the rivets, so time to put in a replacement.

John Walker who I totally trust with my tranny rebuild simply recommends the stock Sachs clutch, but I always hate replacing OEM when I have a chance for a performance items instead.

Car is 95% street usage, might see some tracking and autocross in the future. Stock CIS engine but with SSI headers.

Big concern is I don't want a really stiff clutch pedal on the street.
I'm thinking of at least the 911 Sachs Power Clutch, the Pelican Super Clutch kit, or maybe a Centerforce.

While I'm in there, would an aluminum flywheel be suggested for my butt-o-meter dyno?

thanks all for your tips.

If nothing else, the power clutch has more clamping force and it is not hard on the leg. I installed one last August (Pelican Super Clutch kit). Centerforce seemed to be a $$$ for my needs.

There have been threads on the light weight flywheel and it seems that they are really meant for track conditions. Stick with the stock flywheel.

I think the power clutch is the aluminum pressure plate? I just installed one and am very pleased.

I wish I had coughed up the extra bucks for the aluminum flywheel.

The difference in rev-up is noticeable with the alum PP.

DO IT !

And good luck with the whole project.

Found this old link, and think I'm going to go with the Sachs power clutch

Sachs has a power clutch kit, aluminum pressure plate, and better disk:

How many people use the PowerClutch in their SC?
