New to me 83 911

I am a new 911 owner. I just got the car on Sat. I need a diagram of the heating system under the dash and the duct work. I got a big box of parts that came with the car. I also need the wiring harness that goes to the center console between the seats.

The standard protocol is to start with posting a picture of the car, I'll give you partial credit.
I'm not the posting police... just saying. Welcome to the best car forum.

I don't think there is a diagram. You'll just have to go from pictures.

if your car doesn't have a/c, I'd consider leaving all that stuff out. I spent a lot of time and effort locating the pieces and installing the "fresh air ventilation" (that is what it is called) on mine, and it basically sucks even when working perfectly. On high speed, the fan moves about as much air as a puppy breathing on you. Cracking window or sunroof is 10x more effective. It does help with defogging the front windshield, but that's about it.

My car does have ac but it is a new system that has never been charged. The ac blower will come on. So what should I do? I am going to have the ac looked at soon. The last owner didn't real care if it worked.

Here is a pic of the car. The car was built by Franz Blam here in Atlanta for the past owner. I just have to finish it up.

Beautiful color combo! The best of luck to you on the fresh air ventilation system and a/c that actually works well here in the South East. The high temps and high humidity can be brutal!

Thanks guy's. I really jumped out this time. I really like driving this car. I was out in today runs like a champ. I just really need to get it to the level I happy at. This has a interesting history and is a low mile car. Let the fun begin. I look forward to being on this board.

looking good...welcome to the board. I have often though that you could sub in parts from a ford or something to get a decent A/C. I think the biggest problem with the SCs is the size of the air vents, only those two small ones on the dash. the ones on the side dont do diddly. back to the ford parts...the mustang a/c vents will fit where the clock is. I have pondered the idea of having North Hollywood Speedo combine all my guages into the middle 3. this would leave the two outer gauge holes for vents. Rennaire has the rest.

Thanks for are the help and info guy's. I have already got some things done on the car and got some good pointers. I think the guy that brought this car from FL in 99/00 time frame started to part this car out even removing the eng/trans for an 66 project car he was building. This is a 80k car no wrecks and a super nice paint job. He was nuts. The fresh air system is from the car which the eng/trans was removed in put into this tub. So I have to reinstall all the stuff back. I know I'll need some hardware and the manual which I hope to get real soon. The pic's helped allot.
