Does that hold up well?

Also, I know they probably tend to be in the grey area of street legality, but has anyone ever gotten pulled over or a ticket for having them?

Thanks

Krylon sprayed on inside of lens two years ago. They look the same as the day they were painted.

Wow, that looks great Dave. I think the yellow would look great on my Ruby Red as well. I need to look a little more into the "legality". Hate to get a ticket for something like that!

I sprayed mine too. Total cost, about $8.00.

Is there some actual purpose for the yellow, or is it just cosmetic?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's used for class identification in mixed class races. Usually more helpful during night racing.

Am I right about this?

They also used them in France, on street cars, but that's because they need to be different

Washington....yes
i don't drive much at night
never pulled over yet

One of the reasons, in France, was that they reflect less light back to the driver's eyes in fog. White light and blue light reflect off the water droplets a lot more.

not to ask a totally dumb question, but will the krylon treatment cause a negative effect at all with night driving?

The yellow beams take a little getting used to, and may be slightly less effective during normal night driving, but offer greater lighting in fog situations.

I have the yellow lenses and they seem less effective at night. Mine are the real French deal.
