Turbo tie rod update for 68 911 ?

			Hi all,

I needed an alignment for tire wear and high speed cornering wobble...but mech couldn't adjust sleeves without twisting/damaging them, so its time to replace. So I've used the search button, but its still unclear to me. Can the turbo tie rod updates(from Pelican) be installed on a early 68 911 ? What special mod's. if any need to be done to accomplish it ? Ive heard yes,,no,= short on thread contact due to rack or rod length differences. Help me out please. I think the suspension is pretty much stock. Daily driver,,no track. Driven 500 miles a week. Thanks in advance....

Many short wheel base cars have limited thread engagement (inadequate) when using turbo tie rods. Elephant Racing has turbo tie rods that are longer to address this problem and deliver proper thread engagement.

I'm sure our host would be happy to place the order for you even though it's not yet in their catalog. Tell them you want the Elephant Racing tie rods for short wheel base 911s.

Chuck’s Elephant Racing solution is a good one and economical. While more expensive, the entire front suspension from a LWB directly interchanges on a SWB. There is a lot of info about this on Pelican. Best, Grady Ps Where are you in KS?
