At some point you'll wish for more tire and those flares on the track. Do them in steel and enjoy the ride. Nothing wong with driving it with no paint till you get the time and energy to finish the body work.
Big change in feel and stick going to 245s up front. I'd take the time to drive a couple of wide body cars before deciding. |
Jeff,
It's been a while since I've seen your car, I think it was still pretty much stock. Quite the transformation! You may as well go all the way with it now having taken it this far. You can throw on some 10 or 11" Fikse or Kinesis wheels. Heck, it's only money and the Loon is almost at par with the dollar! BTW, are you still running the skies around YVR? |

Did I mention all the dyno tunning I have to do as well? I have previously owned a m471 widebody, but it had factory Fuchs. I have driven a few others as well, but not on the track like it was my own. I think it would pain me to drive a blue car with grey bumpers and a white hood on the street for a while, but I could get over it! Harlann, Yes, I am the Approach Control Procedures Specialist now..... keeps my thinking for sure....... Cheers |
Okay, thanks again for the feedback. The car was no slouch on the track before I took her apart.
I think I will leave her alone until I can decide (after putting some hard miles on her) if it needs more tire. That is all I would gain from a pefromarnce point of view. Made some good progress today, got the computers mounted and the rear half of t he carpet installed...... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182398838.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182398872.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1182398889.jpg Cheers |
Sounds like your putting it back together. Good choice. Slap it together and drive the crap out of it while the weather is nice. You have all winter to take it apart again.

Thanks Keith, I also am planning to re-gear the trans this winter too. So maybe the projects are good timing.
Hope you are happy with your wheels. Cheers |
